Once I find a perch for it, won't this be the perfect lamp for the kids play corner? My dad made it a couple years back. It used to be part of a vintage umbrella display in one of the stores I had set up in.

I don't have much time to decorate during our school hours but the kids LOVE having this space. Yesterday after we talked about Veteran's Day and finished our worksheets, they couldn't wait to get to the "carpet" to play - just because of the carpet. Isn't that hysterical?! We don't have a lick of carpet in the entire house so they think this little corner is so cool.
